For The Love Of Animals

Here at Christie’s Photographic Solutions, it’s no secret—we’re all animal lovers.

In fact, our president, Bob Christie, is especially passionate about rescue dogs. Known for his favorite phrase, “We didn’t rescue him, he rescued us,” Bob has included a paw print in much of the Christie’s branding over the years. During his boat racing days, the symbol wasn’t just personal—it was iconic. It proudly adorned both his boat and promotional shirts, symbolizing the deep connection between animals and our team’s identity.

Now, to further celebrate the bond we share with our pets, we’ve created a dedicated page on our website introducing the official office animals of Christie’s Photographic Solutions. You can meet them all by visiting our CPS Pets page.

Moreover, our love for animals goes beyond the office walls.

One of our most passionate animal advocates is Emily, our Quality Assurance Specialist. On weekends, she volunteers her time at Orange County Animal Services, where she photographs adoptable cats. She collaborates with Pawsitive Shelter Photography (PSP)—a local group that specializes in capturing heartwarming portraits of shelter animals.

According to Emily, the mission is simple yet powerful: “The intake photos used online are often blurry, low-quality images of a scared animal that has just arrived. We get to take them out, spend some time and play with them, and let them warm up to us so that we can capture a photo of the real cat in that cage.”

This thoughtful approach makes a significant difference. Since OCAS welcomes an average of 55 new animals per day, including both dogs and cats, the need for compelling photography is critical. With each session, Emily and the PSP team help showcase each animal’s unique personality, increasing their chances of finding a forever home.

“When I first started working with Pawsitive Shelter Photography, there were only dog photographers on board,” she explains. “I asked my sister to join me in starting to photograph cats so that they, too, could have a chance.”

Although shelters can be overwhelming environments, especially for cats and dogs, Emily remains hopeful. “We want every visitor to see just how special each one truly is. While I know I can’t help them all, even making a difference in the life of just one cat or dog makes every second worthwhile.”
